Biltmore Estate & Fall Foliage: 3 Days, 2 Nights (Sept. 22-24, 2008)
This tour is only offered through Outer Banks Beach Bus & Tours, LLC in conjunction with U.S. Tours and Steve Ellis Tours.
Day 1: Enjoy the ride on the Outer Banks Beach Bus as you travel to Asheville, NC where you will check into your hotel for a two night stay. Enjoy an incredible dinner at the Biltmore's Deerpark Restaurant. After dinner is an Autumn Candlelight Tour of the Biltmore Estate. Enjoy the magic of Biltmore House filled with candlelight, blazing fireplaces, and live musical performances when you tour the House at your own pace.
Day 2: Day two features a daytime tour of the Biltmore Estate and Grounds. Stroll acres of gardens designed by America's foremost landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. Tour the Biltmore Winery and sample award-winning red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines. In the afternoon you will travel to Chimney Rock Park and take the Top of the Rock Tour. Climb to the top of this towering rock that sits on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At this point, you will be standing high above beautiful Hickory Nut Gorge where you can enjoy the 75-mile views. This mountain top experience is sure to take your breath away. Finish the evening off with a Mountain Music Dinner. Enjoy dinner while you are entertained by an Appalachian performer.
Day 3: It's time to head home but your sightseeing does not end here. We will depart from Asheville and visit the Blue Ridge Parkway Folk Art Center, showcasing the finest in traditional and contemporary crafts of the Southern Appalachians.
