3 Days, 2 Nights (May to October 2008)

It's time to let the cool mountain breeze blow life into your travels. See mountain laurel blossoms lining whitewater rivers, venture deep into our forests onboard scenic railroads, stroll the Railyard on a cool starry night and enjoy live musical shows as good as any in Branson.

This tour is the most scenic rail tour in the East, and is an exciting combination of two very unique and different train rides both in one day. It's a wild and wonderful ride through the Cheat Mountain Wilderness, a rugged region of West Virginia consisting of deep forest, wildlife, and whitewater.

Option: Add another show and the American Mountain Theatre Morning Show for only $25.00.

Day 1: This group tour begins with a visit to the Backbone Mountain Windmill Farm and Blackwater Falls. Then you will travel to the small town of Elkins, West Virginia for two nights lodging and nice dinner.

Day 2: Start your second day off with a ride on the NEW Cheat Mountain Salamander. The Salamander will take you 45 miles across the top of the Cheat Mountain before stopping at the High Falls of the Cheat River. At this point you will enjoy a Hobo Lunch Buffet.

Take a short drive down the far side of Cheat Mountain, where you will find the town of Durbin and a steam locomotive known as The Durbin Rocket. This 90 minute excursion follows the Greenbrier River, a remote stream between two mountains with many scenic and wildlife viewing opportunities. At the conclusion of this train ride you will enjoy a delicious dinner in a local restaurant. After dinner, you'll have a chance to freshen up before an evening show at the American Mountain Theater. The freshest sound in the hills, this stage show is similar to the family variety shows that made Branson famous.

Day 3: The third day begins with a visit to the Green Bank Radio Astronomy Observatory before departing for home. This is America's Next Great Tour Destination.
